Heart & Circulation
The heart is a powerful muscle responsible for pumping oxygenated and nutrient rich blood into a system of arteries and capillaries which transport it to every cell in the body. Cells in turn release waste products, which are absorbed and carried away through the circulatory system. Cardiovascular health is profoundly affected by lifestyle and diet and maintaining a healthy weight, blood pressure, homocysteine and cholesterol levels reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. An intake of certain nutrients can support cholesterol levels and to help maintain a healthy cardiovascular function.
